Intro
So, this is the start of a new
project and it does seem relatively interesting, the new project in question is
social distancing/lockdown/Covid-19 related, this project especially will be
quite different from my Need to Grow Project that I had completed previously.
We were given a list of ideas
which were placed next to a specific number, Tony (the tutor) then wrote these
numbers down on small pieces of Paper and whatever number we chose, the
corresponding idea would be what we had to use for our advert, I wish I could
tell you that everyone was happy with what they got, but I would be lying to
you and I got number 5 which corresponds to the idea of a Board Game and at
first, I wasn’t happy with the one I got because really I wanted to get 17,
which corresponded with a film subscription service which was an idea I felt I
would be able to apply myself to, but after taking time to think about it I
managed to come up with an idea.

Advertising Project
Outline / introduction:
You are to create a Video based Advert.
For this project you will be expected to develop an idea into an Advert on the selected subject
"Things
to do in Lockdown"
Here are
some Advertising examples you might find in the bag!
• Healthy Food Advertising

• Home entertainment
products
• Exercise in the Home
products
• Online activities - for
adults (mobile Apps, Pay sites, Networks).
• DIY indoor products
You will
need to report on the following in your blogs:
• Idea generation: Report
in your blog. This should relate to your main advertising idea and be set on
one of the campaign types as indicated above. Relate these to your strategic 5-channel research investigation
and the target Audience profile you have designated.
• Research: Research 5 different
channels of primary and secondary research sources that both relates to your main Adverting video
solution and work for your identified Target Audience.
• Target Audience: Detail
who your target audience is. Relate this to your research investigation.
• Design Visuals: Create
design visuals + fully detailed GRIDS for your design
• Collect / create all materials for your
advertising video: Film, graphics, sound, type.
• Build your final video in Premier Pro, use
screengrabs to demonstrate how you did it. Look at all aspects of the
programmes usage.
• Write blog report: introduction,
Research, Idea, planning, production, evaluation
• Publish the video on your blog with a
complete report
• Evaluate the final result against your
stated target audience and discuss its suitability for a lockdown campaign.
What you need to submit for assessment:
All
research and design stages + testing and evaluation on your blog with final
Advert.
